Newsletter - March 2011
"Of all the wastes of human ignorance perhaps the most extravagant and costly to human growth has been the waste of the distinctive powers of womanhood after the

Sorry for the delay with my newsletter this month, but I am honestly asking myself, "Where has March gone?". For me it was a bit of a crazy month - March 2011 - and, at the sane time it was a great month with the 100th celebration of the International Women's Day.
Let's not get back to "normal" after that great celebration and the many fantastic events surrounding it. Even though the first wave of the feminist movement starting with the French revolution in the 18th century is a long past, there is - unfortunately - still a long way to go, to create a healthy balance in our so called modern civilisations. Having said this, I am going to refer to an unknown author with some great insights about women and their powers ;-) :
"Women have strengths that amaze men
They carry children,
they carry hardships,
they carry burdens
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up for injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without new shoes
so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They cry when their children excel and cheer
when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a new marriage.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no

Women come in all sizes, in all colours and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and
a lot to give."

My newsletter this month is not to ask anyone to give women a higher preference and value; I am just asking to consider women as equals in the 21st century.
I am asking you - regardless of your gender: Listen to your wife, mother, sister, daughter, or your female friends and colleagues when they have something to say, give them your presence and be open for their opinions. Accept them the way they are, see their strengths and powers and give them your support. Do something nice for them now and then, care for them and show them your love, and - enjoy every moment with them. Help to bring a healthy and peaceful balance into our world.
When you are a woman, don't hide your light under a bushel, let it shine and therewith allow other women to let their lights shine as well. Let your voices be heard.
Have you already read my monthly quotation for March and my short excursion?
Please feel free to forward this e-mail to family, friends and colleagues. This is a monthly newsletter.
Have a wonderful spring until next month.
Be well and in balance,
